Terron Dixon II

Terron went to Bryan County High for 4 years leading a group of talented seniors . Terron battled with some injuries and having to adapt to doing college while still in high school. Terron graduated with high honors and went to Lagrange University to start his collegiate career. Terron broke numerous records and won many accolades while attending LaGrange. Terron won USA South Offensive Rookie of the Year, and USA South All-Conference second team running back. Terron only played in eight games with two starts and still led his team and all USA South rookies in rushing with 772 yards. He averaged 96.5 yards per game and he also led his conference with 9.3 yards per carry average. He scored seven touchdowns in just eight games played against USA South opposition, carried the ball 82 times for 696 yards, averaging 99.4 yards. He set a school and conference record with 306 yards rushing against Methodist University and set school record of 34 carries in same game. He also had an 80-yard touchdown run at Methodist, third longest run in program history. This is just a scratch on the surface for Terron. He also had to be mentally tough as he made a very hard decision to transfer to Georgia Southern the following season due to Covid putting a damper on his sophomore season. Every since then Terron has battled on the field and in the locker room to show that he belongs. With that alone that has taken a toll on his mentality and mental health. Terron is a firm believer in the work and commitment that Journey Within has done.

Chris also grew up in Bryan County like Terron, they met through playing football together. Chris played for Bryan County High School all four years alongside Terron. He battled through injuries and mental health issues all through high school. He graduated from high school and decided to drop football so he could focus on academics. While in college he never felt satisfied with just getting a degree and fell in love with work. He dropped out of college and started working full time in management. While working he struggled finding his true calling in life. He couldn’t determine rather he wanted to go back to school to further himself in management or find a different career. While juggling this hard decision his mental drifted. He began turning to a new way to cope with the pain which happened to be the gym. Once he felt he was fully himself again he decided to give back to others that always had adversity set against them. He joined the world of law enforcement. Now Chris has felt an urge to continue to help others who struggle just like he did, which is the birth of Journey Within. A brand that is a safe place for those who feel like they have nowhere else to turn for advice or help.
